I meant what I said and I said what I meant…

Have you ever struggled to really say what you mean – or do you just sound mean?  All too often, we allow ourselves to communicate in a way that is not truly reflective of how we feel – OR – we say exactly what we feel in the wrong way, the wrong place and the wrong time… to the wrong people.

Communication, whilst it has its effectiveness, can also have its ‘defectiveness’.  The advantage of online reputation management is that it creates a vehicle for us to ensure maximum effectiveness and minimal defectiveness in our written communication.

I believe that the secret to achieving this lies in finding the balance between your heart and head.  Your heart is where your passion lies – the true power in your communication potential.  It’s what drives you to go the distance, to risk, to achieve more than you’ve ever achieved before.  But if that power is unleashed, it can be seriously destructive – so that’s where your head comes in.  Your head is your CEO, the Director of Communications.  It is powerless with out your heart’s passion yet it is infinitely powerful when it brings balance to the pair.

If you manage to get this right (and it’s what we all try to do!) then you will mean what you say and say what you mean.
